To the team at Athelhampton
Athelhampton House is a stunning venue and we were so pleased to have our Wedding reception there in December. We chose the venue as it was the only one we visited which could offer our guests a menu choice for the wedding breakfast and also because Laura made us feel confident that they would go above and beyond to make every little detail perfect.
The grounds are beautiful for photos and the Great Hall with its stained glass window and open fire provides a very impressive location for the drinks reception. We had mulled wine, mulled cider and fruit punch, as well as five different canapés during our reception and all of our guests commented on how they always had a drink and a canape in their hand!
Me and my husband were also followed round the gardens by a couple of staff members who held our drinks and made sure we got to try the canapés too... I wish I had got their names to thank them! The three course wedding breakfast was delicious with starters of scallops, duck or camembert and main course options of fillet beef, belly pork or baked squash with a trio of desserts for pudding.
Many thanks to all of the staff, particularly Laura, Owen and Michela, we can't thank you all enough for making our Wedding day so special x
